The AVLS Lymphedema Community would love to know the many creative ways clinicians are overcoming these barriers. Please share your ideas! The top three submissions will have the opportunity to virtually present during a live-streamed session of the 2020 Annual Congress in October.

Submissions on innovative ideas to address issues faced with lymphedema are graded on the following criteria:

  • Introduces new ideas or addresses existing challenges in the treatment or management of lymphedema
  • Practical and/or replicable applicability
  • Inspiring, innovative
  • Quality of content, videos or photos may be used to support the written summary
  • Well-written narrative and details describing the proposed innovation and outcomes.

If any given treatment submissions are deemed to be of the same quality, preference will be given to a submission that includes an AVLS member as an author. Submissions receiving the best scoring results will be accepted for presentation.

To submit your innovation:

  1. Create an account by selecting "Join Now" on the Congress Portal.
  2. Complete your account profile.
  3. Select "Lymphedema Treatment Submissions" under the "Presentation Type" drop-down menu and complete your submission.

  • Other issue faced when treating or living with lymphedema

Present at Annual Congress

The top three innovative ideas will be selected to present during a live-streamed session at the 34th AVLS Annual Congress on October 15-18.

Submissions are reviewed and graded in a blinded fashion by the Lymphedema Program Planning Chair and Committee. For this reason, author names and affiliated institutions should be omitted from the body of submitted abstracts. Committee members will recuse themselves from judging treatment submissions when a potential conflict of interest exists.
