66 individual and corporate donors to the American College of Phlebology Foundation (ACPF) met in Chicago, IL July 24-26, 2015 for the second ACPF Executive Leadership Summit, a three-day moderated meeting dedicated to discussing the future of phlebology over the next 5-10 years.
“This second Leadership Summit was a tremendous success, bringing individual stakeholders and industry interests together in a cooperative process,” stated Dean Bender, one of the event’s organizers. “Everyone in the room was able to share insights and listen to perspectives, afforded by no other forum.”
Subject matter experts presented on topics from certification to insurance to public awareness. These were then followed by group discussions, from which the ACPF will develop a consensus document. Look for the document to publish in the next couple of months.
